Artistic Director

Ronald J. Williams, active conductor, musician, teacher and composer, is the Founder and Artistic Director of The Broomfield Choral Festival. He is the proud recipient of the 2008 Heart of Broomfield Award for his contributions to the arts.

Mr. Williams is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Colorado Repertory Singers (coloradorepertorysingers.org), an auditioned community chorale now in its tenth season. He is also the Director of the Northland Chorale, now celebrating its 40th season.

Mr. Williams is enjoying his 30th year as a choral director. He is a popular choral clinician and an active teacher and mentor, nurturing the love of music in piano, voice and composition students in his “Studio B." He has produced and directed numerous feature concerts in the greater Denver area.

Mr. Williams enjoys producing music as both director and composer. Several of his vocal and orchestral works are available on the critically acclaimed compact disc series, "Masterworks of the New Era," produced by ERMMedia. His vocal works are performed in concert by area chorales and he has arranged over 130 hymns for small band ensemble, piano and organ. He has recently released his first CD of piano works, From My Heart: Soothing Music for a Hectic World, available at ronwilliamsmusic.com.

Mr. Williams is a member of the Colorado Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association(ACDA), the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). A native Floridian, he holds a Master of Music degree in composition from the University of Colorado, a Bachelor of Music degree in Theory from Stetson University, DeLand, Florida, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida. He has taught vocal and instrumental music on both collegiate and elementary school levels. He is a lifelong pianist and enjoys playing a variety of musical instruments.
